FIRST - click "NEW POST" on your original blog page (bottom right of editor page).
Then make the title: Day of the Dead Then insert a photo box and text box
group photo of all three projects (or a series of 3 photos each showing one project)
First Text box: Answer all of these completely and insert a button to use as a reference link to the information used to answer them.
1- What is Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos)? 2- Where and When is it celebrated? by whom? Why? 3- How do your projects (at least 2) celebrate life by acknowledging that death is a stage of life? 4- using the basic elements (tool bar to the left), drag a "button" and set the HTML to the webpage you used to find the information (I want a reputable source, no wikipedia, no buzzfeed, no "infotainment" page.... university, museum, government, cultural pages only!. AND - do not copy and paste - write in your voice, your words! If you quote a small phrase or short sentence, it must be in quotation marks!)
Next - insert two images and a text box for the Sugar Skull Inspired project
SKULL project
In this paragraph describe why you chose the type of skull project you did. Tell how your work is original (inspired by the reference photo, but made all your own). Tell how the project developed your skills: creating pattern with shape/line/color, if used clay - working with subtractive sculpture process, if used cake how you had to think "out side the box" to create the image, etc, Tell how it is obvious that the work is of HIGH QUALITY?
Next - insert two images and a text box for the Bones Inspired project
BONES project
In this paragraph describe why you chose the type of bones project you did. Tell how your work is original (inspired by the reference photo/Georgia O'Keeffe, but made all your own). Tell how the project developed your skills: drawing from observation, creating pattern with line/shape/color, color mixing, values, etc, Tell how it is obvious (provide evidence) that the work is of HIGH QUALITY?
Next - insert two images and a text box for the Miscellaneous project
Miscellaneous Project - pumpkin contest, Day of the Dead a Celebrity, Spook-ify Starry Night
In this paragraph, talk about why you chose this extra project. What about the task was interesting or fun to you? What skills from so far in Art 1 (drawing from observation, color/color mixing, value, drawing forms, sculpture, creative application of medium, etc), did you use to help you complete the project? Did those skills get any better? Explain why or why not. Explain, with evidence, how you know your work is of HIGH QUALITY?
Next - a text box for the reflection and grade
Reflection and Self Assessment
What were two challenges for this project? What are two successes? If you could go back 5 days and redo something to make the group of 3 projects better, what would it be? Why? Explain. The objective was to have 3 HIGH QUALITY projects in which the correct process for project work (research for inspiration/reference images, planning, skill practice and final work done on time) were completed by a final deadline. Do you feel you met this objective? What grade out of a 100 would you give yourself? If each project (including research, planning, skill practice, and final work) counts for 25% and the blog for the last 25%, what grade did you earn?
